How to repeat table header row(s) across pages in Word document?

In Word, you might use a table to record some data. If the table spans multiple pages, you may want the header row to repeat on each page to make reading easier. This article explains how to repeat table header rows across pages in a Word document.

  1. Select the header row(s) you want to repeat.
  2. Click "Layout" under the "Table Tools" tab, then click "Repeat Header Rows".

Now the header rows are repeated on every page.

Repeat table header rows with Table Properties

  1. Select the header row. Right-click and choose "Table Properties" from the context menu.

  2. In the "Table Properties" dialog box, go to the "Row" tab, and check the "Repeat as header row at the top of each page" option.

  3. Click "OK".

Note: Repeated header rows will not appear in "Web Layout" view.
