Outlook: Prevent prompting for profile registry every time when opening
Recently, the Choose Profile dialog box comes out and ask for profile registry every time when I open the Microsoft Outlook. So boring to select profile name every time! Finally, I luckily find my way to fix it. Here I will show you the detail steps to prevent prompting for profile registry each time when opening Microsoft Outlook.

The following steps will walk you through preventing prompting for profile registry every time when opening Microsoft Outlook.
Step 1: Access the Control Panel:
- In Windows 7, please click the Start button at the bottom-left corner of Taskbar > Control Pane.
- In Windows 8, Swipe in from the very right edge of the screen, click the Settings button, and then click the Control Panel. See screen shot:
Step 2: In the Control Panel, change the view mode with clicking the text besides View by and selecting Small icons or Large icons from the drop down list, and then click the Mail. See screen shot:
Step 3: Now you get into the Mail Setup dialog box, and click the Show Profiles button.
Step 4: In the popping up Mail dialog box, please check the option of Always use this profile, then click the box below this option and select a profile name from the drop down list. See screen shot:
Step 5: Click the OK button in the Mail dialog box, and exit the Control Panel.
Form now on, it won’t ask for profile registry when you open the Microsoft Outlook any longer.
